We extend our gratitude to the 110 members and guests who graced the Branch Annual Dinner on Friday, October 25th, commemorating Corp's 360 years of loyal service to the crown.
For those who could not join us, the evening commenced with a special performance by the Corps of Drums (CoD) from the Plymouth Maritime CoD, consisting of RMBS veterans dressed in the attire of the Duke of York and Albany's Maritime Regiment of Foot. Their drums, meticulously crafted to replicate the original sound of their era, were accompanied by tubular pipes.
After the performance, our honored guest Tim, known as the Cold Dip Commando, joined the CoD for a photo opportunity. More about Tim below...

Our guest of honor was Colonel David James Lord Swann CBE DL (late QRH), a Deputy Lieutenant of Dorset, who represented our Captan General the King.
Chairmans Award
It was my pleasure to award Tony Ward, Clive Jennings, and Pattrick Hopper with the 2023 and 2024 Chairman's awards for valuable service to the branch.
The feedback on the night was positive and I have to thank the committee and Clive Jennings in particular for his efforts and organisational mastery for making the evening a success. We also raised over £400 on the night for the RMA-TRMC thanks to the generosity of our members.

Tim Message from Just Giving:
I raised £35,000 during my last cold water challenge, for several charities, including the Royal Marine Charity, Lymphoma Action, The Bowra Foundation, and Rock to Recovery. Tim completed 31 cold dips in 31 days in January 2024.
After a prognosis of 6 to 12 months to live if the new treatment failed, I decided to do another cold water dip/swim every day in January 2025 going clockwise around the coast of the UK, starting and finishing at my local beach in Poole.
Members are encouraged to support Tim in his next challenge on January the 1st 2025.
